I worked as a Junior Graphic/UI Designer for JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2019, in what was then known as their Core Digital Department. The department was responsible for web design, UI design, and on-brand graphics.
My Role: I took on a variety of tasks, including building interactive prototypes for webpages in InVision, creating asset libraries in Sketch, and designing presentations, pamphlets, and posters. My biggest project was designing a wealth of print and digital assets for Employee Appreciation Week, which were displayed in JPMorgan Chase & Co. banks and offices across the world.
Timeframe: April — September 2019
I created content-block templates in a Sketch asset library. My co-workers were able to use these when designing webpage prototypes.
These served as the welcome mats of the week. They were 3ft in diameter, and usually placed on the floor near the doors where people came into work. Employee Appreciation Week took place in several countries, and many of the decoration designs were made to emphasize this unity. This design features a background that says “Thank You” in eleven languages.
Employees and bosses alike were encouraged to write notes of appreciation to their colleagues. These designs were made into note cards, where people could write a person's name on the front and a message on the back. Many locations provided sweet treats to distribute with the notes, like Lifesavers and Tootsie Rolls.
Here are some of the designs I worked on, displayed around the office I worked in.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. hosted a conference for managers of other impactful businesses, to encourage the employment of veterans.
Below are the first 2 pages I designed of an 8-page pamphlet that was distributed to attendees.
